A. Yard / property fit (Luba)
Check one for each:
| Question | Yes | No | Not sure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lawn size is honest (not listing fantasy), roughly under ~0.5 acre? | |||
| Meaningful slope, where AWD actually matters? | |||
| Edges / fence lines are your pain (not just the open middle)? | |||
| Obstacles every week: toys, beds, hose, dogs? | |||
| You need a working cut this season (not Q4+)? | |||
| Rain / storage / short season (Long Island–style) is real for you? |
Quick read: Mostly “yes” on season-need + open yard → lean buy Luba 3 now. Mostly “edges + I can wait” → lean watch Luba 4. Mixed → read the tree below.
B. Luba 3 buy now vs wait for Luba 4
Buy Luba 3 now if
- You need a mower this season.
- Open yard + a clear dock path already make sense for a robot like LEO.
- You are fine without Luba 4 paper features (Surround Quad-Vision, optional edge arm, and the rest of the IFA sheet).
Wait / watch Luba 4 if
- Edges and turf turns are your real pain and you can wait.
- You only buy when US price and a real buy button exist (an IFA announce is not a buy button).
- “Pre-order Q4 / price TBD” still blocks you.
Owner note
We already run Luba 3. Keep LEO unless edges are your pain and you can wait. First-time buyers who need a mower this season: Luba 3 now. Luba 4 is announced, not buy-now. We will update when a US buy link is real.
C. Meta Wayfarer Gen 2: buy now vs wait
Buy Gen 2 now if
- You want glasses that help on a real job this month (ask Meta, then DIY), not a beach day-in-the-life.
- Stock is actually in. Listings have been thin. Check before you buy.
Wait / watch if
- You want the newest model. Meta announced Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 at Meta Connect on September 23, 2026. Compare it before you buy a Gen 2, and we will update this block once we have seen it up close.
Owner note
We use Gen 2 as a tool. Example from our yard life: broken shower cartridge in hand → “Hey Meta, find a local plumber” → then we put a new one in. That is the product story we trust. Not lifestyle POV.
